McGuire nurse recognized for decade of service


Spano Spano Lancaster resident Annie Spano is celebrating 10 years of employment with the McGuire Group’s Harris Hill Nursing Facility.

According to the facility, Spano is a registered nurse, wound care-certified, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

As the director of subacute services, Spano is responsible for coordinating all admission and discharge processing for subacute patients, providing oversight and direction to staff, overseeing the organization and smooth functioning of the unit, and coordinating interdisciplinary care service to meet each patient’s care requirements.

Prior to this position, Spano held the roles of unit coordinator and associate director of education at The McGuire Group’s Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.

Spano is a graduate of Villa Maria Academy and holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing from Trocaire College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Daemen College.

She is a member of the Breast Cancer Network of WNY and Camp Good Days and Special Times.
