Alden Farmers Market continues

The Alden Farmers Market will have raffle tickets for sale through the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce for an Amish wooden shed. Tickets are $3 each, two for $5 or 15 for $10. The drawing will take place Saturday, Oct. 13, the market’s closing day. The market is situated at the Tractor Supply and Save-a-Lot plaza, 13119 Broadway, Alden. Hull House sets garden party

Hull Family Home and Farmstead will hold its Girls and Their Dolls Garden Party at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at 5976 Genesee St. in Lancaster. Holy Mother slates chicken BBQ

Holy Mother of the Rosary Cathedral will hold a chicken barbecue dinner, drive-thru only, from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19, at 6298 Broadway, Lancaster. Dinners are $11 and include potato, vegetable, roll, butter and dessert.

St. Mary’s WINGS to show movies

The Women in God’s Spirit Bible study group at St. Mary of the Assumption Church will host a free movie series this summer, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and shows at 6:30 p.m. “God’s Not Dead 3” will be shown on Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the elementary school auditorium, 1 St. Mary’s Hill in Lancaster. St. Mary’s sets car show, BBQ

Golf fundraiser scheduled

Catholic Health event planned

‘Arts and Barks’ event planned

Happy Tails Doggie Daycare, 36 Central Ave., Lancaster, will be offering “Arts and Barks” paint nights weekdays and Saturdays, while still providing the same care to smaller dog breeds. Julia Corallo, owner of Happy Tails and an artist, will be the instructor. Call 685-0565 to book a paint night; the cost is based on theme choice and materials needed. Meditation and yoga classes set
